Batad, Banaue - Atok, Benguet Itinerary

Here's a quick background story of our DIY tour to Mountain Province. Just recently, a news broke out about Sarah G's breaking down during concert due to 'emptiness'. Siguro uso yun ngayon. Yung feeling na wala kang feelings... hahaha! One of us felt that way kaya biglang chat "Tara Atok tayo sa weekend." As a support "Tara lumanghap tayo ng hangin na nakakagaling!".

We started booking our bus ticket to Banaue through CODA LINES. Then we booked transient house in Atok, NORTHERN BLOSSOM FLOWER FARM then another transient house in Batad, BATAD TOPVIEW POINT HOMESTAY.

Bilang DIY to, those three bookings already made this travel all set, bahala na si Batman sa mga magaganap pag dating doon.. :)

DAY 0:
--Friday 11:50PM--

Meet up at HM Transport Cubao Bus Station. Delayed yung flight namin, este travel. The bus arrived 1:00AM, sana naligo pa ko..nyahaha!

DAY 1:
--Saturday 8:00AM--

We arrived Banaue by 8:00AM. We registered at the Municipal then we meet Ate Grace, owner ng Batad Topview Point Homestay, sinundo kami to take another 1 hour van travel to Batad. Upon arriving Batad, we had to take another 8 minutes walk/trail to homestay.

To our surpise, heres' the view in front of us, nakaka-wow sya! <3

After taking brunch, coffee and an hour of rest, we started getting ready for our Rice Terraces and Tippaya Falls Tour. Brace yourselves, it is a two hours of trekking along rice paddles and a lot of stairs! Syempre, your time depends kung gaano kayo katagal mag picture..hehe. It took us five hours back and forth including swimming.

Habang nag lalakad kami, wala kaming ginawa kundi hanapin si Thanos. Most of the travelers are foreigners than locals, so hindi si Thanos ang nakita namin, mga kasing gwapo lang ni Captain America. Nyahaha!

On our way, napapansin namin na lahat pababa, "Patay tayo nito pabalik, puro assault to!" at hindi kami nagkamali. HAHAHA! Do not worry, sulit naman! The falls was awesome, nag swimming kami kahit malamig. Nakakawala ng pagod. :)

DAY 2:
--Sunday 5:30AM--

Ang aga namin nagising to have coffee and watch sunrise :)
By 7:00AM, we departed to go to Northern Blossom in Atok, Benguet. Hinatid ulit kami ni Ate Grace sa Banaue and from there we took van bound to Bontoc. From Bontoc we took bus bound to Baguio. 100 meters from there yung Eclof at sa tapat nun makikita ang Northern Blossom. :)

We arrived Atok 3:30pm, so yes, halos whole day kami nag byahe. Ginusto namin to eh! hahaha!
I don't have picture of the transient house but it was good. As all other bloggers said, unli bread, coffee and water sila. But they do not serve meals. Lalabas kayo, maglalakad pa Municipal to find place to eat.

But NO! even the sunset was awesome! The sea of clouds were awesome! The flowers were awesome!

Ayun, someone fell asleep while crying..anak ng tokwa! HAHAHA!

DAY 3:
--Monday 5:00AM--

Syempre umaga na, walang hilamos, walang tootbrush, bangon! 5:00AM ang sunrise. And yep, the tsismis was true. Ang ganda ng sunrise! The moist on the flowers reflects the rays of sun. Everything was wonderful. The sun on your face, the cold fresh air, the clouds, the flowers and  your friends. :)

Around 8:00AM, we took our breakfast, coffee and kakanin. We shared table with our new found friends Kuya Jeremias Telva and Manny Gaczskima, photographers from Baguio. Since kaibigan sila ni Ate Lanie, owner ng Northern Blossom, we were also offered a tour to Spanish Old Trail. This obscure hiking trail is a remnant of the intricate network of roads during the Spanish times when people traveled on horses - or by foot. It was an easy trail along mossy forest, we passed through caves, hanging bridge and at the peak, as if we climbed many mountains. :)

We really had a good time with new good memories to treasure. Hindi daw usually pinupuntahn ng tourist yung trail but is indeed worth visiting. The view was very pleasing to the eye and good for the heart. :)

It  was a quick tour. And on our way back,  we passed through vegetable farms in which very amazing too!

By 12:00PM, we departed and took van to La Trinidad since buses bound to Baguio were very few.
