IT'S NOT ABOUT US

From this past season of brokenness that I've been through, I really wanted to write on how God has changed me. My perspective, my view of Him as my God, as my father and my savior.

I just don’t know how to put it into words. But let me share it to you this way.

"My apology for some wrong grammar you might find..I'm still learning how to write.. :)"
"Credits to h3sean and dimples. Thanks to both of you."

Most of the time, as Christians, we tend to try to be perfect, we are so harsh to ourselves to the point that our world becomes small.

We do things, we sin, we forget what is right from what is wrong then we put all the blame to us. As if the world only turn for us.

In this recent season, I learned that it is not about us, our selfish ways and our selfish desires.
We have to remember the grace that God has given to us. At times we forget about it. We do all the works that makes us no different from the Pharisees.

Remember, It is not about us but about His glory, about which things will bring Him honor.

Every day we should ask for His grace for us to be obedient. By asking that, we are actually accepting the fact that we cannot do it on our own.

We are His disciples, His student, His follower. From every situation we are being changed from glory to glory. The mere fact is, this whole life are being spent for us to learn His character.

People come and go. You sometimes have to let go of some even if they are a blessing to you. You have to commit yourself in trusting God. Believing that everything works for good.

Desiring to change and surrender something to God is the first step. But that’s as far as it goes. After all has been said and done, it’s the little decisions you’ve made that will matter. It’s the little compromises that you’ve allowed yourself to indulge in that will break you. There are things in life that we sacrifice to God and give up to Him in our hopes and expectations that He will help us through. But somehow we find ourselves wanting to get a taste of that which we just surrendered. It’s natural for us to look back and compromise and long for the things that we told ourselves we’d never have anything to do with again. There was one time that I surrendered to God lately – but I found myself wanting to compromise the commitment. I wanted to go around and find loopholes in the very commitment that I surrendered up to Him. Imagine that.My heart was all for the commitment during the time that I gave it up. But the heart is deceptive above all things. Sooner than later, I found myself wanting to work my way through the commitment I made little by little – until I was surprised that I have broken it completely. That blemished commitment that I made became no commitment at all and left me feeling sorry for myself. - h3sean

Therefore, In everything we should acknowledge Him, ask for His opinion, His directions. Whether it’s about our career, relationship with the opposite sex, family and personal longings.

Let him guide you. Honor God and He will honor you. Remember, It is not about us.
